Next week, CircularB will be in Turin for our 3rd Training School: “Empowering Circularity Innovators in Building Assessment: From Design to Monitoring”.
Building on the success of previous Training Schools held in Timișoara, Romania (2024) and Riga, Latvia (2025), this edition will be hosted at Politecnico di Torino in Turin, Italy, and aims to strengthen international knowledge exchange in circular construction research and practice. Politecnico di Torino’s innovative character and close collaboration with industry create an ideal environment for this Training School. Moreover, it contributes to extending the impact of CircularB outcomes by fostering collaboration beyond Europe.
Dates: 28-30 April 2026
Venue: Castello del Valentino. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Castello del Valentino is home to the Architecture Department of the Politecnico di Torino and is located within the beautiful Parco del Valentino, alongside the River Po in Turin.
The on-site, hands-on programme brings together 22 selected trainees, including PhD students, Post-Docs, and Professors from across our network for an intensive three days of lectures, interactive discussions, hands-on workshops, technical visits, and applied group work. Participants will engage directly with models and tools developed within and beyond CircularB, strengthening both technical competencies and strategic understanding of circularity implementation in buildings.
Why it matters
- Applied focus: the programme will explore state-of-the-art and emerging approaches for assessing and monitoring circularity in buildings across different scales and life-cycle stages.
- Networking: participants will have the opportunity to engage effectively in interdisciplinary collaboration across research, design, and professional contexts;
- Capacity building: the programme develops teamwork, communication, and pitching skills aligned with CircularB’s goals. Development of a shared knowledge base supporting future research, educational initiatives, and follow-up training activities. Future joint publications and long-term research collaboration.
Who’s attending
